The New Green Hills Residential Care Service Set to Open its Doors

We are thrilled to announce that residents at Green Hills Residential Care Service have transitioned to their new home. 

Construction commenced in early 2022 so the move has been highly anticipated by all and with all the final checks having been made, residents and staff have been transitioning over the past two weeks. 

Residents and their families and staff had the opportunity to do a walk through the new building in late December and have looking forward to the doors opening. 

Sarah Ramsey, General Manager of Residential Care Services said, “This brand new facility will expand our offering to the Maitland and Greater Hunter region with a new 160-bed facility while adopting a household model of care which will set the benchmark for the future in providing high quality care and service.” 

Residential Services Manager at Green Hills, Shannon Fitzgerald agrees, “We’re so pleased to finally be at this point—it’s been a long-time coming!  All of our residents, their relatives and representatives had a chance to visit the new building a few weeks ago, and the feedback has been incredible, but now we are in and it’s time to make the place feel like home. And we look forward to welcoming new residents into this larger service in the coming months.” 

An official opening ceremony and other celebrations to mark this historical achievement for Fresh Hope Communities will be held in the coming weeks once residents and staff have settled in.
