Pastoral Care Volunteers Graduation

Last week, we celebrated 8 volunteers as they graduated from the Pastoral Carer’s training program held in Bateman’s Bay. The evening was celebrated by the Mission & Ministry agency, Fresh Hope Care, local church pastors and family and friends. These wonderful volunteers are now all serving in The Glen under the supervision of our local chaplain, Nicole Gorzalka.

The pastoral care training being offered by Fresh Hope Engage and Fresh Hope Care is being rolled out across all Fresh Hope Care facilities, with volunteers from the third course in Coffs Harbour graduating at the end of November resulting in 40 volunteers trained and active in pastoral care. In 2019, the course will be run in Nowra, Maitland, North Sydney and Albury with the hope that Fresh Hope will have 100 volunteers serving as pastoral carers across all Fresh Hope Care facilities and programs.
