In a historic decision, Conference Executive has approved the release of $1 million to empower churches who want to pioneer new faith communities over the next three years.
The funding, released through Fresh Hope Pioneering, will be used to assist churches that have a vision to plant new churches, multiply church expressions or train future pioneering leaders.
“This is an exciting and historic moment,” said Fresh Hope Executive Ministry Director Andrew Ball. “We have never allocated so much resource to our movement’s future expansion.”
Fresh Hope Pioneering has already been working with teams over the past two years to establish new faith communities, mainly in Western Sydney.
While remaining intentional about focusing pioneering work in specific, strategic growth precincts, Andrew said this funding would enable further expressions throughout NSW and the ACT, as God leads individuals and churches.
“Fresh Hope Pioneering is about creating new communities of faith that seek to transform and renew society,” added Pioneering and Mission ministry leader Daz Farrell. “We want to champion churches who desire to see the Kingdom, with Jesus as Lord, expanded into new locations and communities and to see them multiply.”
“We want to be alongside churches who are willing to have a go at pioneering in their spheres of influence, by offering support, mentoring, learning environments and training to assist them.”
