We’re proud to share that Borella House has received an official 5-Star Rating—the first Fresh Hope Communities service to achieve this result.
The Star Ratings were introduced by the Australian Government in December 2022 to improve transparency following the Aged Care Royal Commission and serve to help older Australians and families compare aged care homes and services.
The ratings are based on four key areas: Compliance, Residents’ Experience, Staffing Levels, and Quality Measures.
A 5-Star rating indicates strong performance across all of these areas, showing high resident satisfaction, excellent clinical practice, and strong compliance.
Nicole Waite, Manager of Residential Services at Borella House says the news has been a fantastic boost for the team. “We are thrilled as a team to share that achieving a 5-star rating has brought an incredible sense of pride and excitement across our site!

Board Chair of Fresh Hope Communities, Raewyn Williams also congratulated Borella House on their fine achievement. “We are delighted to have our Borella residents, their families, staff and other stakeholders experience such quality of care and service. This will no doubt enhance the already fine reputation of Fresh Hope Communities Borella in the Albury community.”
