Residents visit Hillview Herb Farm

Our Green Hills (East Maitland) and Highfield Court (Mayfield) residents enjoyed a day’s outing to Hillview Herb Farm near Gloucester. 

23 residents and one staff member boarded a bus and travelled to the farm, located on the picturesque Barrington Coast with a scenic outlook across the Avon River Valley. 

The farm is a working herb farm, supplying many of the local restaurants and stores with fresh herbs, honeys, scented oils, herbal salts, teas and more. 

The group took time to leisurely stroll through the extensive, aromatic herb gardens and enjoyed a BBQ lunch. Being able to have a change of scenery and enjoy fresh air on a beautiful day with each other was a highlight for all and made for an enjoyable day out. 

The outing was received with such enthusiasm that all that is required, according to the residents, is to book another trip back there!
