The village is just off the Princes Motorway motorway, and nearby to the rail link at Thirroul station.

In October 2022, Fresh Hope Communities shared with Tasman Court residents the difficult decision to take steps to close Tasman Court Retirement Community and terminate the village contracts and Residential Tenancy Agreements of all residents to allow for the redevelopment of the site.
