The Residences Castle Cove have had a wonderful opportunity to work collaboratively with the local Castle Cove Public school in late November on the annual Art Show.
A fantastic atmosphere was present all day as the children brought their families through The Residences to show their beautiful art.
The children met with the residents and explained the intent behind their art piece.
The Residences provided the awards, BBQ sausage sizzle, drinks and lolly bags to all the children that entered and attended.
A total of 58 high quality art pieces were presented for display by the students for judging.
The judging panel consisted of The Residences artists who deliberated and awarded the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
The event drew quite a few Castle Cove locals on the day and most notably we were pleased to greet The Mayor of Willoughby, Tanya Taylor who drew the raffle which was run by the Residents and raised over $750 which was donated to the Castle Cove Public School.
The Art Show proved to be a highly popular Retirement community event and will be organised again next year.
