Forestville Retirement Residents Annual High Tea Outing

It might have been the day before the Winter Solstice, but you couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for Forestville Retirement Community’s annual High Tea event.  

This year’s tea was held at the Gunners Barracks in Mosman and the small group of 10 residents were not disappointed.  

Penny McIntyre, Community Manager said, “The food was amazing with a gorgeous selection of hot canapes, sweet treats and of course a huge plate of fresh warm scones. A few residents indulged in a glass of bubbly although the men preferred a glass of red. We could have sat all day watching the view.”

One of Forestville’s newest residents also came for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed this new opportunity. 

This has become a highlight of Forestville’s calendar and the small number this year allowed for everyone being on the same table, so conversation flowed as generously as the tea and bubbles.  

Residents are keen to mark their diaries and calendars for next year’s event.
