This month, residents at Green Hills Retirement Community and Highfield Court, enjoyed learning about Canada with the help of residents Yvonne and Steve, who invited a very special guest, Jenny, an Inuit Canadian.
Jenny shared the significance of Canada Day on 1 July, and helped residents correctly pronounce the names of Canadian provinces and shared stories about life in Canada.
Of course, the afternoon wouldn’t have been complete without some uniquely Canadian treats “moose farts” and “Inuksuk”. Everyone soon discovered that both were absolutely delicious!
Residents enjoyed reminiscing about their personal connections to Canada and shared Canadian inspired foods.
