Fresh Hope Communities was pleased to be invited to contribute to the ABC program Compass which had a focus on the housing crisis and the good work of Sydney YIMBY (Yes In My Back Yard), which aired last Sunday night.
The episode delves into the human stories that shape the YIMBY movement as well as the complexities, challenges and opportunities that are found in bringing more housing to this city.
Sydney YIMBY is a grassroots community advocacy group, with hundreds of members campaigning for abundant affordable and social housing options in Sydney, like our own Nightingale Marrickville. One of our residents, Karen, shared about the security and stability she and her daughter have found, as well as the added benefits of connection and care living in a community such as this has brought.
