Fresh Hope Communities is proud to partner with Nightingale Housing to bring a landmark affordable housing project to the community of Marrickville.
Aptly titled Nightingale Marrickville, this build-to-rent development resonates with our desire at Fresh Hope Communities to create spaces which cultivates belonging, and critically, it will relieve some of the rental stress faced by people living in Sydney and give us an opportunity to play a role in bringing some solution to the housing affordability crisis in Sydney.
Designed by SJB, these 54 affordable teilhaus micro apartments are a long term built-to-rent housing typology. From the design of the apartment interiors, through to the community living spaces, everything has been thoughtfully constructed with environmental sustainability, liveability and community in mind.
Tenants will enjoy access to a café and community art and recreation spaces on the ground floor, communal spaces such as outdoor terrace spaces and garden, laundry, recreation areas and off-street parking for cars, bicycles and motorcycles.
Nightingale Marrickville is positioned in an extremely walkable, wheelable and public transport-accessible suburb of the inner west. It’s the perfect place for Nightingale Housing’s very first Sydney project.
Located centrally within the Marrickville town centre, forming part of the Illawarra Road commercial strip. Marrickville Station is just 150m away, and in the future the Marrickville Metro train will run at four-minute intervals towards the city during peak times. Bus routes serving Illawarra Road are also easily accessible from Nightingale Marrickville.
The area is rich in local amenity, including supermarkets within a 300m radius, some of the best cheap eats spots in Sydney, great vintage, and Marrickville Library and Pavillion less than 1km away.
If this sounds like the place for you, we’d love you to join us for the first of two information sessions to hear more details about the location, design, and community initiatives at Nightingale Marrickville. Nightingale Housing team will introduce the team, discuss the ballot, eligibility and key dates.
Information Session 1 will be held online via Zoom on Wednesday 21 February at 6.30pm. At this session we will introduce the project, the project team, key dates, and information about eligibility and the ballot process. The session will include an opportunity to ask questions. At the second session, we will go into detail about the design, floor plans and pricing.
